The Immigration and Naturalization Service uses a number of venues for Naturalization Ceremonies for new American citizens. National Parks make a perfect inspirational setting; being ‘America’s best idea’ (Wallace Stegner). Crater Lake as a background has proven itself to be perfect. A half-dozen or so Friends of Crater Lake members are needed to help make this work. Duties will include providing directions to participants regarding parking, seating, etc. We might be asked to provide refreshments. You won’t be disappointed in spending a little time doing this. The event has been awe inspiring and just plain fun.
The Customs & Immigration Service has cancelled the 2017 Naturalization Ceremony at Crater Lake National Park. They have asked for a reschedule in August 2018.
